DL-HS400 hydraulic shackle with release by power pack from the surface, or by diver operated submersible hand pump
DLT wide body subsea hydraulic release shackles (also known as Remote Release Shackles) are designed to allow the removal of heavy submerged shackle pins using any of the following methods:
- Hydraulic power pack & control system above water. Simultaneous release of multiple shackles is possible
- Hydraulic accumulator mounted on the shackle, which can be operated manually by diver or ROV, or remotely using wireless or sonar signals.
- ROV hot stab connection for release using an on board ROV hydraulic power pack
- Diver operated submersible hand pump, mounted on the shackle
Usually we will supply hydraulic release shackles with at least two of the listed options fitted to provide a back up release method in the unlikely event of a problem with the primary release system.
We supply hydraulic release shackles in any size from 150 tonnes to 2000 tonnes load capacity per shackle. All our hydraulic release shackles come with a manufacturer's proof load test certificate, NDT certificate and a proof load witness test certificate from DNV, Lloyds, ABS, BV, GL etc. as required.
